Monkeying Around

Hi all. I'm a little behind but wanted to show you some pictures from Halloween. As you can see I was the cutest monkey ever, aka Curious Cole. At my school, I was able to go on a little walk around downtown Davison to some local businesses. I had a great time, I was looking fine, the cool weather felt great on my face while I was toasty warm in my costume. In fact, I wore myself out having so much fun that feel asleep half way through!!














Afterwards Mom laid me down and I slept, just like this, for an hour and a half.






Before the big day, we all went out to a pumpkin patch where I made the Gerber baby look like an amateur. See for yourself:

Not much else new, I'm just terrorizing the house, getting into whatever I can. Now that I can crawl I have a whole house to discover.

FINALLY!

Yesterday I turned 8 months old. I thought it was a fitting time to accomplish two things.

1) my bottom two teeth broke through

and

2) I began to crawl

Isn't that exciting?! I'm not racing around the house yet, just taking it one arm and knee at a time. I should have it mastered very soon and then I can put more effort into pulling myself up to standing.

Rockin' Out!!

Hey all! Boy, I had hoped that the next time I blogged at'cha that I could brag about me crawling. I'm sorry to report that that isn't happening yet. I am THIS close. I get on my hands and knees and rock back and forth. I'm starting to shuffle both knees forward, but generally my legs slide out and I end up further back than when I started.

I'm hoping by sharing that with you it'll give me good luck. That's what happened last time, I told you I was almost sitting up without support and the day after I blogged I could do it. Call me superstituous if you want but I need a little good luck.

Since last month my folks took me up north to my grandparents place for an overnighter during Labor Day weekend. We had a great time. I went on my first pontoon ride and the neighbors fawned all over me! (Can't blame them of course.) There's me giving Papa "the look" cause he was telling another BS story!

Not much else is new. I'm eating like a champ and having lots of fun with my mom. Hope to see you soon. Love, Cole

It's My Half Birthday and I'll Post When I Want To !!

Oh My, oh my!! Boy have I been busy. So busy I haven't had time to update my blog in a while. Sorry about that, but my social calender has been full lately! (When you are this fine, it goes without saying that the ladies have been keeping me busy...)

First of all - I'M SIX MONTHS OLD NOW!! Isn't that exciting?! Hard to believe just a few months ago I was a floppy little itty-bitty baby. Now I'm practically mobile. Well I guess I'm getting a little ahead of the game. Last night I started trying to crawl. Really surprised my mom but what can I say, I'm a high achiever already.



I can almost sit up on my own and I'm pretty good at standing too. I was holding Grandfather up in this picture, not the other way around like it looks. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it!)

I'm also loving the fruits and veggies I've tried so far. (Although these pictures are from the first time I tried peas, I was awfully suspicious of that green stuff...)










Now, I get so excited when I see mom getting my food ready for me. Mom found out that I get mad at "school" when I see my friends getting their bottles, even if I just ate. I can't help it, I'm a growing boy and need fuel for this babe-attacting machine. Check out these two studs...


A few weeks ago I took my first overnight trip. We went down to Indiana to see my Grandpa's side of the family. It was a wonderful trip and I got to meet lots of relatives. I had such a good time getting loved on. Here are some pictures from that weekend:












Two weekends ago, my Grandparents came and stayed with us. The guys worked on building some decks. I wanted to help but I guess I'm still a little young. Instead I hung out with my Grandma. When they come to visit they love spoiling me and my cousins Logan and Selia.













Last weekend we went up north for a family reunion with my Grandmother's side of the family. I finally got to meet my Uncle Nick, Aunt Rebecca and Cousin Thomas. (The link to his blog is at the right.) The ladies of northern Michigan didn't know what hit 'em.

We went to Mackinac Island. This is Mom and I on the ferry ride over. And this is later on, I was clowning around w/ Grandmother.

On The Move

What's going on? I'm busy as ever. Two weeks ago I started rolling over on to my belly. And a week after that I rolled from my belly to my back. I came up with a game for when my Mom changes my diaper. Who can do it faster: me rolling over or her changing the diaper. Right now I'm ahead on the scoreboard.

My other favorite thing to do is playing with my new friends.. my feet!! Where in the world did they came from?

I've also graduated to oatmeal. It tastes way better and I barely swallow before I've got my mouth open waiting for more. Can't wait to see what else my 'rents have in store for me.

Four Months Old

I don't have a lot to report right now. Monday I had my four-month checkup. I weighed in at 13 lbs 8 oz with a head size of 16 inches and length of 25.5 inches. That puts me at 25% for weight and head size and 75% for length. I'm definitely my daddy's boy with stats like that: tall and skinny. I like to think I'm a lean-mean-a$$-kicking machine!!

Mom just started giving me some rice cereal. To tell you the truth, I think it tastes horrible. But I gotta try it for a little bit then I can move on to something more appetizing. Here are my first two trys at it.

I would like to introduce you to my newest girlfriend: Lorelai. She was born May 18th to my mom's best friend. That's me checking out my girl's pad and us hanging out in some Boppies. (I was playing it cool.)

Happy Memorial Day

Hi Everyone!! Just wanted to give you an update. I'm doing great as you can see. I'm pretty happy and having fun talking and even laughing. Although I have to admit, somedays aren't so good. Would you believe I'm teething?! Some days my gums hurt SO bad. I can't wait until one of them comes through. (But I don't think my mom is looking forward to that though!)



That's me and Daddy. He took a break from working outside to play with me. He has been busy planting 2 acres of grass seed, spreading straw, planting trees and lots other landscaping stuff. We got some fish for the pond too and it's fun to go feed them. I can't wait until I'm older and Daddy and I can go fishing. We are going to have so much fun! For now I'm content looking at the wildlife from inside. So far I've seen turkeys, pheasants, ducks, geese, all kinds of birds and even a fox!

Here's one of my girlfriends Keira. She is 5 weeks older than me. Yup, that's right, I've got an older woman! As you can see she is very impressed with my sweet dance moves.





Nothing else special going on. Just enjoying all the attention I'm getting. All I have to do is flash this award winning smile and the ladies swoon.

Quarter Birthday

So it's almost my quarter birthday. Tryin' to talk the folks into celebrating it but so far the outlook is not good. I don't see why not, it is my first and isn't that pretty special? How can they deny such a cutie?!




My social life has really picked up in the past few weeks. Mom went back to work which I think was harder on her than me. They are really good to me at "school" and I get cuddled a lot. Plus Mom usually comes over and feeds me at lunch.


These days I'm working hard at grabbing things. Mom & Dad think I'll be a leftie. I favor it when I grab at stuff and I often have my thumb jammed in my mouth!



Here's Daddy and me, just hanging out, being men. All I need is the remote and some coordination so I can scratch myself. (What? You know it's true!)


I'll leave you with this adorable picture of me after a bath. I like bathtime. Well, more like shocked by it but I don't cry and I like being massaged with baby oil after it!

New Man on the World Wide Web

Sup y'all! My Uncle Nick set me up with this blog so I can showcase my skilz and keep my fans up to date. So let me fill you in on what I've been doing since I made my grand entrance. (That's me about a week after I got home.)

Since I've been home, I have had my Mom and Dad wrapped around my little finger, feeding me every couple of hours, making sure I'm "fresh" down there and telling me how sweet I am. Pretty good gig I've got, don't ya think? I've had lots of visitors and loved all that attention too, of course. I've also got a sweet nickname "Super Cole" thanks to my Grandma Pethers. It's cause I was born during the Super Bowl. Get it...?

I'm now going on my 9th week. A few weeks ago I made Mom happy and started smiling and cooing (for real this time, not just when I had gas.) Since then the camera hasn't stopped flashing in my face. Here are some of my finer moments.

As you can see, I'm quite the charmer. But it's not all fun and games. Here I am hard at work during one of my exercise periods of the day. It's tough work to keep this bod looking so good but a man has got to do what a man has got to do, know what I'm sayin'?

Well it's getting to be dinner time for me. One last picture before I go, this is me and my Grandmother. Mom caught us having a real heart-to-heart.
